Specialty Coffee.

Its obvious that drinking specialty coffee gives a higher quality product. But do you know the global impact of specialty coffee?

Coffee is the second highest traded commodity in the world after oil. The problem is that only 10 companies buy 90% of all coffee grown globally. According to the United Nations report on poverty, drug trafficking, and human trafficking - low commodity prices in the agricultural sector fuel these issues. One of the easiest ways to end some of these large problems is to buy specialty coffee instead of commercial coffee.

At iheart we know the origin of every coffee. We can attest that the farmer gets a fair wage, and we are working to end issues like human trafficking. Our Burundi coffee is an example of this issue. Burundi has been a nation guilty of sending child brides all over the world. Our partner on the ground (Long Miles Coffee) has ensured that 5,500 coffee growing families can survive from their crops. Together we are making a difference on major social issues by paying fair prices.

Our company takes smaller profits to ensure the farmers can be more successful. The result is a better world, and a better cup of coffee.
